Jovens musicando: a constituição da condição juvenil marcada pela aprendizagem das práticas musicais

O presente texto trata da relação de jovens com as práticas musicais vivenciadas noprojeto social Orquestra Jovem de Uberlândia (MG), ressaltando sua influência naconstituição da condição juvenil desses atores. Os dados apresentados referem-seaos resultados de uma pesquisa de mestrado desenvolvida no campo da educaçãomusical. Caracterizada como um estudo de caso qualitativo, a investigação buscouapreender as circunstâncias do envolvimento dos jovens com as práticas musicais noprojeto social configurado como um espaço de ensino e aprendizagem de instrumentosde cordas friccionadas; os modos como construíam seu conhecimento sobre práticasmusicais e os significados que atribuíam a tais práticas frente à sua condição juvenil. Oestudo aponta que, no projeto, os participantes tinham experiências que marcavam suavivência, repercutindo em seu relacionamento com instâncias como a familiar, a escolare a do trabalho. Ao passo em que experimentavam o fazer musical naquele contexto,construíam conhecimentos e constituíam seus modos de serem jovens.

The present study explores the relationship of young people with musical practicesexperienced in the social project Orquestra Jovem de Uberlândia (Uberlândia – MG),highlighting their influence on the constitution of youth condition of these actors.The data presented are the results of a master’s research developed in the field ofMusical Education. Characterized as a case study, the qualitative research had aspurpose to apprehend the circumstances of the involvement of such subjects withmusical practices in the social project, configured as a space for teaching and learningstring instruments; the means by which they were building their knowledge of musicalpractices; and the meanings they were attaching to such practices considering theiryouth condition. The study shows that, in project, the participants had experiences thatmarked their life, reflecting on their relationship with instances as the family, school andwork. Whereas they experienced to make music in that context, they built knowledgeand they constituted their ways of being young.
